Driving only with Learner's permit........... Friends, My friend got in trouble. He was practicing driving in a parking lot and was hit by another vehicle. The vehicle was reversing. He had parked his car parallel to the car which hit his car. At the time of of accident, he had just reversed and about to leave. The motorist gave him his insurance policy no and he already called them. He is given a claim no and asked to call on Monday morning. Here, I want the information from the experts regarding: will the insurance know if he is just in permit(learner's)? if yes, will they cover his damage? what is the chance that insurance will inform the cops? at the time of accident there was no one sitting beside him, with the valid licence. Please suggest!!! he is in big trouble. Thanks in advance

I dont think he will be in Problem. First, they will not know about the permit only thing. If they knew that he is having Permit, then you can tell them that one friend having license was with him.

Naraya...., "DO NOT PROVIDE ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION" Call the other guys insurance and tell them to provide their side of estimation and ask them to send you check. By law, u are not required to provide your information if the other party accepts his/her fault. Do not panic, insurance companies might ask you and threaten you to give all your information. Again, do not, just tell them you don't need them. Be confident and do not panic. GoodLuck.....
