I postponed my graduation to december 2008. Now I am thinking, would it be better to find a CPT job and postpone graduation further or graduate in december and tackle the new OPT thing. I would have to find a H1 sponsoring job related to my field within 3 month of graduation. Any suggestion?

hatyara...,kasto darlagdo name raichha bro ko ta, huna ta hatyara lai suggestion diyo bhaney cops le goli hanla, still bulletproof jacket lagayera lekhdai chhu.

ok bro, i went thru your situation and here is what u should be doing : try to find an internship in a reliable company and if u get one by this summer or by the start of august, register for 1-3 credit internship class and get CPT approved by your advisor.so, by the time u will graduate (december,08), try to make an impression at the job,so that  they will hire you for full time position and u can work with them in OPT,starting just after your graduation. This way u dont have to worry abt new rule of finding the job within 90 days of OPT start day. And, after you get the full time job, starting January 09, go to temple every weekend, and if god becomes happy , you will get h1b for next year, even if u go to bars more than temple, and h1b doesnt get approve,u still will have time till december,2009 and if u r STEM major, and your company is everified company ,u can extend opt for 17 months, that will be till May 2011.I hope u will get h1b by then, and will be living happily ever after for atleast few years...if u won't get, then post new thread in sajha and zee will be here to help u again...

dherai long bhayechha, hatyara bro risayera mero hatya nagara hai.

-zee

zee ji, namaste. I liked your advice very much. I was unsure and now you have helped clear my mind. Also, I like the advice about going to temple. I do like going to temple and I pray everyday at home too to Pashupatinath -not only to ask for blessings but also to thank him for everything. Maile hatya ra hinsha ko bato chodisake! Thanks zee ji.
