you know what pisses me off........is the Nepalese people who allow this all to happen...........NOW at this point I really dont have much to say but THERE is a huge TURN comming in Nepals History. AND it aint gonna be PRETTY............these political leaders and the Maoists are living in a hieghtened state of instability and curroption through fear and intimidation. Also the " WHO GIVES A DAMN ABOUT WHAT THE PUBLIC WANTS....WE WILL TELL THEM WHAT THEY WANT"  like thought process of these leaders and doing whatever. ITS going to backfire on them..............THEY show confidence, They avoid reality, they avoid responsibility........and WORSE they Ignore the comon mans plea for stability. SO, we all know that the current situation in Nepal..especially the teria movement, the YCL criminals.......Prices HIKEUP on everything...........SORTAGE of daily needs.........AND THE REGULAR balme the KING for all their failures WILL take a toll on their heads.........Nepal will go through her harshest TEST ever.

WTF?  I thought the Moabadis were the ones standing up to the system for equality and that means the poor!!  And now that the monarch wants to give alms to the poor, its forbidden??  This is complete bullshit.  These fuggers think not of the people who they say they are fighting for but for their own shitty benefit! 

The Moabadis need to blame their own ignorant azz for ruining the nation instead of laying EVERY damn blame on the monarch...Before 1998 when the Maoists first started their major assaults, the nation was headed towards a much needed route to prosperity.  The whole system was running fine...And then the mass destruction of critical infrastructure in the rural areas by these gundas bombed the innocent villagers back to the goddamn stone ages!

Don't beat around the bush guys. Well it seems awkward to hear that king is not allowed to give xxx. I think you misunderstood the responsibilities of the Head of State. In my understanding, King is barred from taking part in the function in the capacity of head of state. That's all, nothing more, nothing less.
He is welcome to help the poor people. The stuffs that is distributed during the Mahashivaratri is just the tradition and he doesn't reach the really poor people who are in need.

Anybody who helps people is welcome anytime. I don't think Gyanendra was worried about poor people and distributed something to some jogis or so... There are million people who need food and cloth. Is anybody to ready to help them? Answer?

Nepal in the transitional phase, we will be seeing lots more awkward things taking place in Nepal in the near future.

With all this shit going on, the only way anyone can make a name for themselves these days is to ban the king from doing this and that or whatever have you.  Man, these netas are beating a dog thats already down and I see no justification in doing that. They should rather adress the hundreds of probs ailing the economy and the current madhes fiasco...In time, we may see a similar strategy played out in the mountaineous regions too as these areas have always associated themselves as being autonomous regions (the whole Manag, Mustang, Lamjung, Namche, Khumbu, etc. regions).  The famous flag burning episode in Manang during the 60s comes to mind...Peeps haven't forgotten!!  Once everyone sees how the madhes benefitted from this, I'm sure wheels on the brains of politicians of the high-hill regions have begun cranking. 

Damn, I've digressed too far.  To get back to the thread, if I ever wanna enter politics, I'd better start dissing the king publikly it seems!!  What jackazzes.

My view is that King is King until CA. Everyone should respect the king and king should be given his rights, freedom. The CA will decide the fate of the king.

Knightraider, Exactly...But as we all know, the votes are gonna be rigged and the dear ol' monarchy will be gone for good.  I'd really wish the damn commie Prachanday would go instead!!

King should be given full rights till the CA election. After that, CA election will where king will remain or not. Till then, King should be respected and given all rights.

I think there should be ceremonial monarchy like UK. Making Nepal a republic will only break Nepal into pieces. Due to King, Nepal is united. If there is no king, then there is no Nepal. This is only my thinking and far vision. what do u say?
