just felt like doodling, don't curse me! :P

okay, it's been ages since i have stopped following/playing cricket. there was a time when i led the cricket team of my school, and brought it to a winning streak :P. i used to be a fast bowler (opening), a middle order batsman and a not so shrewd captain. :P

cricket is a psychological game. it's more of a mental battle than physical, i believe. being a fast bowler, i always had the luxury to act stylish and ominous....shine the ball, arrange an attacking field, take long run-ups, pretend scary look, wear scarf on the forehead...hehe....i have tried everything possible to scare the hell out of a batsman :P....now dont ask me how many wide balls i deliver in an over hahahahahahaha :P...

pakistan used to be my fav team, still is. as an amateur, i have always admired heroes like wasim akram-- my idol in cricket, so to speak. i have always believed that pakistan is a very talented team. the folks who play for pakistan are born talented unlike some of the players of other teams who work their ass off to polish their skills. players like javed miandad, imran khan, abdul qadir (i have an autograph of him :P), wasim, waqar, saqlain, afridi are some of the big names of this team in same or different times. most of these players were literally picked up from streets! they won the world cup in 1992 held in australia.

over the last decade or two, pakistan's major strength has been their deadly bowling department. but after wasim and waqar got retired few years back, they have been struggling to keep their pride of fast bowling as high as they used to have. shoaib, asif, shabbir, sami all are good bowlers but by no means comparable to the likes of two w's (wasim and waqar).

the other thing that is hindering pakistan to perform better than they actually deserve is their poor disclipine. they are a bunch of careless players, if one may say. match fixing allegations, politics, ball tampering...there are always issues with this team. with the recent banning of shoaib, for 2 years and asif, for 1 year, due to drug abuse, pakistan's prospect of lifting the world cup next year in west indies has been jeopardized, big time! i dont know where this team will stand....but i will still cheer up for them. once a fan, always fan. :p

Go Pakis! ~~~

Before Boost became the secret of their energy......Sachin-kapil duo, i think, there was an era where india used to beat pakistan more often.

One of the greatest blunder KAPIL dev might regret till today, when he gloatingly said in Sharjah that they needed more competition from the Pakis. I didn't know what cricket meant then or how pakistan got inspired by kapil's blunder, but since then the stats speak for themselves between india and pakis. Though the india might not have lost to pakis in world cup, the overall win ratio between pakistan and india is 2:1.

I don't know who are the real scarecrows, but i can definitely tell you one of those day night matches, the faces of indian batsmen going pale facing the troika of waqar, wasim and shoib akhtar :). if it were not for some egomaniacs and the volatile pakistan board and politics, pakistan would be a lil more consistent.....but without their mercurial temperament, they might lose the appeal as well.

I have come to realize that no matter how much I or anyone for that matter tries, its impossible to refute the fact that sachin is without the slightest hints of doubt one of the best batsmen in the world cricket scenario today and perhaps will remain so for years to come.

DEAD RIGHT! i am not saying sachin is a bad/worse cricketer, am i? :P. like you, i too have absolutely NO doubt in my mind and heart that sachin is ONE of the best batsmen in world cricket today. BUT juxtaposing him with the likes of the great sir donald bradman and putting him in the shoes of the BEST batsman of all time is just tad too much of a comparison in my humble opinion.

as i pointed out earlier, cricket is a mind game. when it comes to pressure more often than not the best batsman of this era (Mr. sachin) pees, everyone knows that. apart from the 98 tournament in sarjah where he single handedly brought india in the final against the aussies and actually beat the hell out of them in the final to claim the series, i have NOT seen sachin batted like a TIGER in a PRESSURE situation.

so much about the master blaster, even other indian players fail to perform to the level, in general, outside india. even in bangladesh for that matter, let alone in bouncy wickets like in australia or the west indies. hehehe :P

flips,
i am not saying india is a bad side. but yeah, against pakistan, they have time and again showed that they don't have big hearts. i told you and i am telling you again. even tendulkar admitted that being aggressive in not in the blood of indians, let alone indian players !!!!!! LOL...

find some better team to support for dear friends ___ HELL NO INDIA!!! :P

and yeah you need to see JAVED MIANDAD hit 6 of the last ball that chetan sharma bowled to him in sarjah cup back in the late eighties to see how the rivalry swifted in favor of pakistan.

India is still struggling to get over that SHOCK hehe :P

Loote Sir,
I don't think I have missed out much regarding India and Pak's matches except for the past five years. So, I definitely would not want to watch the video. Thank you anyways!

It's wise/good to appreciate talents rather than making your own assumptions! Pardon me if it does sound inappropriate, but stating "coward" or "he pee in his pants" to Sachin (or any other player) do not do any justification to his talent and his career!

G'nite!

hehe...
i said what i felt and what millions of cricket fans all around the world feel. i am not saying indian team is a bad one hai.

1) kapil dev
2) rahul dravid

are two of my fav players from india. i too have grown up watching them play. my inclination towards the game has something to do with them too, and trust me i loveeee tendulkar...a great batsman no matter what! i want to see them play with more courage against pakis though. records show that pakistan dominate them. apart from WC, they have not been able to beat pakis in major tournaments. i am more optimistic and hopeful for the new players though. however, at status quo, indians are not so good against the 'more' talented pakis team.

tetti ho. hajur lai sarahai chitta dukhya bhaye mafi paam hai.

yo geet suna la :P

Don't cry--GNR

Nighty night! :)
