We all know about the present political situation of Nepal. Gundas and Mandales are openly advocating hooligism and the Rowdyness. Innocent people including students and minors are being held behind the bars without food, drinks and blankets. Senior government officials are being insulted personally by the so called crown prince. I'm less worried about the officials being insulted as they are the chamchas of the royals but this might be a nightmare for the regular public to even walk down the street as you never know who is going to be detained for investigation and what not. We all know what "investigation" means when it comes to "Pelting Stones" at Royals cars. Bottom line is this is the time, we all need to raise our voice and do something for the Country and people. Living outside of country, we do not have the capacity to go to the street but we do have advantage of raising our voice and let it be heard by the international community. I'm not sure what should we do and how do we raise our voice against this royal autocratic regime but I know that we should. Sajhities, for the sake of our country and our people, lets do something. This is the time we topple this regime, now or never.......... Bring in the ideas on how should we raise our voice. Lets get these innocent high school students out of the Prison!!!!!!!!!!!

Pelting the Home Ministry with letters may be one way to go. The Home Ministry in Nepal controls all prisons so if we can focus attention on the Minister there, it may be of some use. (Here's the contact info from the Home Ministry website) Ministry of Home Affairs, Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, Nepal Tel: 4211261,4211212,4211274,4211249 Email: homehmg@wlink.com.np Home Minister: Dhan Bahadur Shahi The other option is to try and get through the IGP of Police but given that they fall directly under the Home Ministry, they have an wasy way out by saying they don't have any authority to act on the matter (this is the contact info from the Nepal Police website) Inspector General of Police: Shyam Bhakta Thapa Contact Info:info@nepalpolice.gov.np The following is the link to the list of other ministers ---in particular maybe contact Niranjan Thapa and Durga Shrestha? http://www.pmo.gov.np/Council%20of%20Minister.htm What about Tulsi Peter Giri?...as head honcho of this twisted regime, maybe we can get that bloke to pay some attention to this? Come on People....WAKE UP!!....ACT NOW!!

Nepalover, I would love to help in any way I can but I am in the midst of Law School exams right now..that horror of my life finishes on Dec 14th so let me know what you plan to do and I will try and get additional information. I was thinking of maybe getting Ian Martin to wake up and do the bloody job of the U.N Rep to Nepal that he's getting a fat salary for, but the bureaucracy within the U.N office in Nepal is wound up enough where I think the letters or anything else we send may not get to him. But again, my help on this may be limited but, let me know what you need help with.

Thank you guys - Nepaali and World_Map. Your feedbacks are really appreciated. I think we should gather signatures (names) online and send it to Home Ministry to free these kids as soon as possible. About the democratic revolution, we all democracy lovers should be aggresively involved in the revolution.
