With all apologies if I happen to interfere with this class feud-show; but from wht I have seen, though i am a new frequenter here and haven't witnessed much of it, Ashu has somewhere said: " I do NOT back up the royals as much as I am interested in questioning democracy to make its ideas better for the Nepali context. Questioning democracy is NOT the same as being pro-monarch. My attitude is: when you question something in a genuinely I-wantt-learn-about-this manner, then you come up with a better understanding of and higher appreciation for it. " *Personally, I am impressed, you have perfectly articulated what i myself also feel. This is extraordinary- in terms of the first person's attitude to learn, and just normal- in terms of how a second or third person should have a view towards him. ->Nepe dai, हे गान्धर्व स्वामी महाराज, looks like, he is not a monarchist to me, he is just one of our शिब-भक्ती and lets not forget that a few decades ago, almost all of the Nepal was monarchist, many ppl learn by learning and adapt to what they learn- biological evolution जस्तै प्रभो । Nepe: is a vocal republican, हाम्रो सनातन संस्कृत देब-भाषामा "गान्धर्व " कहलिन्छ (and I am no less and I became one by questioning the happenings- just the way Ashu said, and at these times, i believe, at least 2/3 of the Nepalese are like us) ->Ashu dai, is there anything wrong in being anti-monarchist right from the begining? he might have learned this तत्वज्ञान before you did and might have used many- an- example to pursue his cause of belief and most ppl would obviously do that if not checked then and there. plus, it definitely was not his stubbornness when he have apologized more than once in these forums. And I salute both of you as learned scholars, you guys indeed can make a difference, you guys have a wealth of knowledge and skills that will probably be better utilized if you guys rather used it for constructive stuffs. Plz. don't keep rolling this type of thing. Period.

If the case were closed, there wouldn't be any need for additional response, would there? In other words, the point still is about speaking through one's ass, continually. It has merely reached the letter K, and Z, unfortunately, is still some distance away, after which the Humble One will resort to the lower case letters, then numbers, ad infinitum. This is, after all, about enjoying some verbal firecrackers (especially when it is at some else's expense, someone--admittedly in the wrong--who has conceded and apologized). But, hey, let the flogging of the dead horse continue, we will keep applauding with a straight face, cheering the Humble One on to endless victories over the same inert carcass.

Ashu wrote: >Here's my prediction. >Nepe would post one or two of his gazals, >do his song-and-dance routine, and charm >his way back with a few manipulative phrases. I do not understand why this frigging clown is writing this. What does he mean by 'charming my way back'. Who has knocked me down ? Are you saying you knocked me down, Ashu ? Look at you, your are on the ground like a बच्चा जस्तो लडिबुडी गर्दै, रुँदै and saying, " I don't care if a grilling is grilling, but I am going to call Nepe a liar anyway". Mr. Joker, can you not see, you are already making people laugh at your funny demands. Look at your clownhood, you are already calling these people Nepe's supporters. Case closed ? Yes, closed. Your 18 month long running and cunning Naatak is closed. That's what is closed. Otherwise nothing is closed. Sajha is an ever open court. And you are not a SHAHI AAYOG to act a prosecutor, jury and judge, all by yourself, and close the case. Unless you have reason to have a privilege of the SHAHI AAYOG, answer my previous question before you run away, How can a grilling be a lie ? No, no, no, don't start falling on the ground, don't throw all your four limbs and start to cry. "ग्रिलिङ होस् कि स्रिलिङ, मलाई मतलब छैन, तर नेपेलाई चोर भन्छु भन्छु । अठार अठार महिना लगाएर तयारी गरेको हुँ यो प्रहसन मैले !" Regardless, I appreciate the fact that you have ACCEPTED now that it was indeed your Naatak. You wrote: "Surely, as a somewhat known poster with a traceable identity, I could take his bullshit up to a point in good humour, after which I had to start fighting back". You liar. You cheat. Ulto, malaai liar bhanchha !!!!

Shree 5, To find out who, rather what is Ashu, ask him this question, "Do you support, oppose, in part or in full, or are neutral to Feb 1 ?" Ashu will give you a priceless entertainment. Because he has done the same to many who asked that question to him already.

Nepe, You had brought on accusations which you call grilling. Ashu has answered you and shown you evidence. Now the case should be closed unless you want to start round two of the accusations or the 2nd episode of your nautanki. The choice is yours, you want to continue your nautanki or accept Ashu's answer to you like a gentleman.

Shyamu, My last posting was my final. So your admonition is redundant. And keep your record straight, please. This was not my Nautanki. It was of the other party, admittedly for the sake of a "good humor". Check the final statements of both parties. And thank you for umpiring.

Nepe, Please admit it. You accused oohi ashu without doing your homework. Ashu provided proof that you were wrong. Just one line of apology would have been sufficient. That is all.

Nepe, your posts keep coming so dunno which one is the final one hence my appraisal - not at all admonition - could still be valid. According to the records, you started the accusation or so called grilling, which then turned into a nautanki. So in effect you started the nautanki, and you seem reluctant to end it even after the final credits have started rolling.

Nemesis, You need to do your homework. Because you are conflicting not with my statement but with Ashu's admission. At the beginning of my grilling, I did not ACCUSE him of anything, I simply ASKED him if he included the King or not. Ashu was silent (read his admission above. He admits that he was not only silent but also that he was silent for a purpose). By Ashu's own admission, he was silent intentionally- to mislead me and to make fun of me later ("good humor" ?). Ashu misled me intentionally for a very long time. I am the victim of his deception. Did Ashu apologize to me for this ? No. Then why should I apologize, that too for the thing I did as a character of the Nautanki Ashu had designed and played on me ? Could you please give me the reason, Nemesis ? If Ashu gracefully apologizes to me for misleading me for quite a long time (more than a year !), then I will gracefully apologize to him for GRILLING him for past few months. This is the reason for my reluctance for a graceful apology, your honors- Nemesis and Shyamu.

Nepe, stop acting like a kid. All you are doing right now is pointing finger, blaming someone else while not accepting your responsibility. So basically you are saying, " I lied about Ashu because he mis-led me." Poor you. You must be quite gullible then. So now, stop playing a blaming game and for god's sake, and accept consequences of your action. Esta manche Nepal ko neta hune rey? Dhet Terika.

Nepe, You should wake up from the make believe world. This is not a court of law here or a game that needs refereeing where you refer to people who comment as your honor. You started the accusation or so called grilling, which then turned into a nautanki. So in effect you started the nautanki, and you seem reluctant to end it. Don't you think you should let it this one rest? - You accused him - Ashu told you you were wrong but Ashu didn't find a need to defend something that was outright wrong and foolish because ultimately he knows what he said more than you do. I'm surprised that you claimed to know what he said more than he himself. - You went on with your nautanki, teasing him to provide proof. - Finally Ashu provided you the proof. It's only a internet forum, you won't be less of a person by realizing that Ashu had you this time. He played you all along. He played your ego which thought it knew everything. I'm sure there will be more battles. Be more aware next time. Good Luck.

Only thing I will correct is that Ashu kept his silence for a very long time.

" ***** Shree5, thank you for bringing this up. As a life-long idea-junkie, yes, I would RE-AFFIRM that, the paragraph above pretty much sums up my attitude towards understanding ideas of all kinds . . . ideas I find in all sorts of media from Web postings to newspaper articles to research papers. I dislike dogmas of any kind. I believe that vigorous exchanges of tentative to EVIDENCE-driven ideas in public domains (through open debates, Web postings, newspaper articles, research papers and so on) make up the BEST way to learn new things and unlearn old inadequate concepts. And sharply playing the Devil's Advocate is often an intellectually effective way to understand the potential and the limitations of most ideas As economist-philosoper Amartya Sen sayd in his latest book "The Argumentative Indian" (the contents of which are quite applicable to us Nepalis as well): QUOTE "Discussions and argument are critically important for democracy and public reasoning . . .They are central to the practice of secularism and for even-handed treatment of adherents of different religious faith (including those who have no religious beliefs). The argumentative tradition, if used with deliberation and commitment, can also be extremely important in resisting social inequalities and removing poverty and deprivation. Voice is a crucial component of the pursuit of social justice. UNQUOTE In that spirit, let's allow viewpoints of all on Sajha. Let's celebrate Sajha's heterodoxy without CARICATURING (in blatantly false terms) those who disagree with us or have ideas that are different from ours. Tetti ho. oohi ashu

Ah, the grandiloquence and the heroic stance of the Humble One, who is also the Devil's Advocate, brings tears of laughter--no, admiration, to my eyes! Caricaturing pompous gasbags is A-okay by me.
