"England can be one of the favourites to win the World Cup," said Alberto, captain of Brazil's 1970 winning side. "They have very good players and a good team. I don't know how the coach will face the problem of Rooney but England have good experience." But the ex-Azerbaijan coach said the fitness of Michael Owen was key. Alberto said "it would be a very big problem" if England were without both Rooney and Owen. Like Rooney, Owen is recovering from a broken foot, but is making good progress and is expected to be fit for the tournament, which starts on 9 June. Alberto was coach of Azerbaijan when England played the Asian nation in the qualifying stages. "This is the best English national team I have seen since 1966"- Carlos Alberto Parreira Brazil coach

Go for Brazil...Best should win no matter how many times they have accomplished the grand........always for Brazil as long as they continue to produce the extra-ordinary... I doubt if England will make it to the finals..

Loving Brazil is as easy as breathing. It's natural. I LOVE soccer that's why I LOVE Brazil. If one loves art, then it's only natural to admire the very best,i.e., unparalleled, artist. BRAZIL for life. Oleeeeeeeeeeeee ole ole oleeeeeee.... Oleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ole ole ole. BRazil hein khas baki saab.. umm thik thak.;) IndisGuise:) P.s: I think they should let Brazil take two teams for the cup, so that we can see two best teams competing in the final. He he! ;)

i like to see supernatural zinadine zidane with the flash thierry Henry in the finals goin head to head with ronaldinho and his team.... it would be awesome to see a free flowing football in the final.... that is, if the refree doesn't try to be smart by sending off a player from a final game.... UEFA champions final would have been a lot better had it been 11 against 11... I just hope Zizou goes out with a huge celebration.... Go France!!

AZN.. canada tira ni hercha ra ;-)... kina sab Brazil yaar... true football ta europeans le khelcha ni ... unless ur looking for individual magic rather than a game it self... if ur looking for tricks and flicks, its definitely brazil and Argentina... i think rest of the world is talented enough to compete with these two teams... I like england's chances but i hope they don't make it.... i definitely don't wanna see the yellow gettin ziggy with salsa up on the podium... its not fun anymore..

I agree with nicedude....not Brazil again.....and not England either.... I would love to see Holland win, but I dont think thats possible.....but who knows...... I sincerely hope that the result would be as unexpected as the last European championships, where the unexpected Greeks won it..... So what say about Ivory Coast??? ;-)

The African nations have always been a surprise package in the world cups. Cameroon in 1990, Nigeria in 1994 and Senegal in 2002. So, we can't rule out the fact that Ivory Coast won't conjure up the Africa magic. And with Drogba in the side, they have the stars. But, it's hard to see them win the world cup. max- Quarter finals samma
