Dear friends, I am one of the selectees of EDV 2022 residing inside USA. I submitted my DS260 form online around 3 weeks ago. Now my question is how and whom to pay the Diversity lottery visa fee? Should I write a cheque payable to U.S. department of state for Diversity lottery visa fee payment and then send to USCIS? Your information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Thanks, Punya

Adjustment of Status - Fee payment When Paying Adjustment of Status Fees Include: All information completed below. A cashier’s check or postal money order for the correct Diversity Visa Lottery fee amount, with the DV case number noted on the cashier’s check or money order. Thank you. I found this information a little confusing. As I am sending payment to USCIS, to whom the cheque should be payable. In the check, should I write payable to "U.S. department of homeland security" or "U.S. department of state"?

Let me help you with this Once u pay the DV fee to department of state ... not US department of state they will email you the second letter in your email stating that the fee has been received . This means the DOS has notified uscis that the DV fee has been received. Tes pachi once your visa no is current .. for that check visa buttering after oct 1 2021z . That is when 2022 DV visas will be available . I recommended you to send your I485 form ASAP depending upon your case no.send it to U.S department of homeland security .then they will call you for interview ASAP. They will approve ur dv rite away.good lock man . And congrats again .

Thank you, gentle man. My DV case number is 91**. It is in the range of (9000-9999). According to current visa bulletin (2021 DV case number above 6400 will be current on July 2021), it doesn't look like my case number will be current by July 2022. That means, is it reasonable to sent I485 to USCIS now? I realized that my case number is high and I am worried in the sense that my case number will be current by the end of fiscal year 2022 or not?

Sending docs too early doesn’t guarantee your PR until your case no is current. My cut off date was June so I sent my docs around April. I have my interview on July end.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/diversity-visa-program-entry/adjustment-of-status-fee-payment.html Pay here, keep receipt, start building the adjustment of status packet. The receipt will be part of your AOS packet. USCIS only needs to verify that the visa is available from state department which they only do post-interview. You cannot send packet until the advance priority date is published in the visa bulletin. Send complete adjustment of status packet as soon as your number gets current, even one day earlier and it will be rejected/returned. Adjustment of status packet is a very tedious job to build. Start early and re-check several times to avoid RFE issues.
