one of my brother got selected for edv 2012 but found out at the last minut, processed and got visa for his wife and son but he dint get visa because the doctor said he has problem in his chest, embassy wouldnt issue visa for him untill he gets the dr report saying that he is ok. But accroding to dr it will take extra month to clear the helth problem but by then he will not be eligible for visa interview .........
and embassy advised him to ask his wife to apply for her husband right after she gets in at USA
need helpful suggation as soon as possible

Do not await to file all together. Do as the embassy has suggested.

For Immigrant visa process one must clear complete medical test, may be your brother's x-ray has shown
up some syntoms of TB so they stopped him. They do sputum test three times for finalizing TB affected or not. It takes almost
2 to 3 months to get final test report.. They will allow visa if final test show no any medical issues so mean time wife and kids can go USA or wait for him (they have to reach USA withnin 6 months of visa issue date). In worst case scenario, if he meets all the other criteria for VISA and he is TB affected, they will give Visa only after complete Treatment of TB which may takes at least 6 months.
