What exactly were you thinking when they told everybody to "EVACUATE"? Don't you have a TV, Internet. There was plenty of warning ahead. I cannot believe even the Nepali are becoming arrogant/ ignorant like white trash/blacks who never abandon their home during hurricanes and are easy to blame when help does not arrive. No, I do not believe tax payers have to spend their hard earned money to save morons who do not use their common sense. Anyway, why should rescuers jeopardize their life to save some stupid people?
Be happy that you are alive and never repeat the same mistake if you live in the hurrican alley. Who gives a shit about your car and your laptop.

I would suggest to contact Nepalese Association of Houston (NAH). They use to collect money for several victims, like Katrina victims, Burma Cyclone, Earthquake in china, koshi Victims and recently they helped Bhutanese refugees also. I hope they will definitely help you however they were very silent and they did not seem to be very helpful before IKE attack in houston. Try your luck....... after all they are nepalese.
