I do not know why you have a problem with the discussion. Is it because people are criticizing each other rather than the arguments?

I have a resolve to go to Nepal. I guess you have one too. And, while I am here, I cannot keep away from the events happening in Nepal. I guess that is the same for you, and that is why you are at this forum.

I would have replied to you in Nepali, but my browser does not support Nepali fonts.

Gundaa, on the same token, there is nothing wrong in discussing things we didn't like in Sajha, agreeing a poster, pledging, in the name of exchanging ideas. If you don't like them you can still open the thread and read them.

For the folks who say they are here in US temporarily and they will eventually go back to Nepal, I'd say "Yeah right"... after all यो त सब भन्ने कुरा न हो ...  भन्दैमा कसको बाउको के जान्छ र? Hoina ta?

snake -- i dont understand ur point. i didnt say there was anything wrong. i was just saying that we shouldnt stop discussing politics just because we r here

i think as responsible people of this world you should be aware of ur government who is running who is leading where it is heading. because a good government is the key to a country's success and i believe u can do alot towards improving nepal even if u live in us or any where else. infact u should be aware of the political situations every where.

i think it was gagan thapa who said that when ppl in nepal heard that the king didnt come to us b/c nepalese in america were protesting the number of protestors in nepal doubled and that is wht made them even more determined and confident that they had support and they could make a difference

“You may not be able to change the world, but at least you can embarrass the guilty.” Jessica Mitford

so anyways

Gundaa, Sorry if you didn't understand what I meant yesterday. You may blame it on my "yesterday's state of mind", or anything that would give you certain satisfaction. I am going freestyle here in the thread created by someone else so my apologies to OcRam.

Well its very plain and simple... you said you don't think it is wrong to discuss about politics and I said I don't think it is wrong to discuss things we did not like in Sajha. If you think about it, both of us are practicing the same thing, unless you think is politics is better than my voice.

I agree, there is nothing wrong discussing politics. Actually, I'd encourage everyone to discuss about any possible topics. I am not going to spend mine as well as your time clarifying what I meant to say earlier, if you go through this thread, I am sure you will get a vibe. As far as government awareness is concerned, in my opinion, too much awareness is lethal for the country. Haven't we learned it yet since post 1990 revolution? For every move those political parties made, we -- an aware citizen, had to protest to the extent of "chakka jam". Eventually those political parties became so much used to these "public awarenesses" that they meant nothing to them. I believe you have watched "V for vendetta", if you haven't then I suggest you should watch it seriously, there is a line in the movie "People should not be afraid of their government, government should be afraid of their people". Make yourself that much aware and only that much involved into politics that the government wouldn't dare to fk you up because they don't know what you are made up of. If you involve too much, your government will know your weakness because they will get used to it.

But that is something of a whole different league that I don't even want to talk about.
