Oho Dai, Darshan. kahele aune ho.. hami yaha sab jana excited chau. Milcha bhane auta Ipod nano lyaedinu na hai, yaha ramro pahedaina.

Guru..ke cha halkhabar. blah..blah.. blah..auta ramro Digital camera chahiyeko theo. Aba afu Jagir nabhayeko manche guru ko bhalo nai huncha. Jasari bhaya pani lyaedinu hai, dherai ash rakheko chu. Pasupati nath sanga timro jai jai ko kamana garne yo chela.

Boka ke cha ho sabai thakai cha..blah...blah..Milcha bhane auta ramro Mobile set leyera aaeja na hai. Ma paisa yaha deula.

These are the emails I get every time before I travel to Nepal.
All the things are very much available in Nepal. I just dont understand why people ask for such expensive things.
Once they get things they never talk about it fearing I might ask for money.
Any of you guys have experienced this, If yes how do you deal with it?

Tell them you have been studying all your life to become practically a genius in Micro-Economics. Therefore, tell them you are asking the wrong guy or say something like "On the contrary, you did not buy 'that thing' because you were hoping to borrow it from him/her and return it to him/her in a sound condition'. And add 'What a coincidence! both of us have been in need of the same thing!!''

I get few from family members, but I can talk them out of it easily if it is really expensive gift. I would simply say that I don't have that sort of money, may be in the future. I am the lucky one in the sense that my friends understand and they will not ask expensive items. Some time I have said that stuff here are made in China and its way cheaper to buy stuff in Nepal.
BTW, can you take a package for me, it only weights 15 pounds. Hehe just kidding.

Ha Ha ha TM. This is the 2nd problem, when nepalis find out u are going to Nepal they ask you to take their packages to Nepal. So far I already have 4 lil pacakages.

There is always an option on choice! Log on to MSN and appear offline! Dang! this thing I thought, only happens to me!
