People died to bring Girija in power. People love Girija. This is the great victory for 205 people and lose for 27 million - 25 people.

Even if an election occurs, the new PM would either be Deuba, Surya B. Thapa, Lokendra B. Chand or one of those old dudes who have failed again and again in the past. Go voice your opinions and be happy. What difference it makes if the system hasn't really changed at all. We are just shifting from one agony to the other.

.Katziman.....you are acting as if you don't "understand" the explanations, whereas you perfectly do. You say that it doesn't matter if Girija is not the P.M., it will either be Deuba, Chand or Surya Bahadur Thapa. Well, that is not entirely true. The Nepali voters can throw those people out too. They can't become prime-minister if they don't win in their consitituents. Please, go familiarise yourself with the "election system". Looks like you have spent too much time supporting the "monarchy". If you don't support monarchy, but are still against the "democracy", then you are one big pessimist. Just for your information, the French Revolution in 1789 was similar to what we just experienced in Nepal. They also had a monarch but they removed him--just like what we are trying to do now in Nepal. My point is, the French have been without a monarch since 1789 and they are still struggling to make sound decisions and develop their country. They still face many problems and people still riot in the streets in France. So you see, problems don't get solved as soon as you remove the monarch and get democracy. A nation continues to face challenges, and it has to continue to strive and solve those challenges.

I agree with Dhoti Prasad: Girija killed a lot-- those opposing him on the streets, in the villages, and in the jungle; those opposing king on the streets, in the villages and in the jungle. Girija must be responsible for all those killings. Yes, those killed by the King were died for Girija.

I didn't know that we could vote for PM??? I thought whatever party got the majority of seats would automatically make its chairman the next prime-minister and usually these old morons get to be the party sabhapati-thanks to their power and influence on their fellow members...

I do agree with Dhoti_prasad 14 People died for Girija and not for those who were seeking the end of the monarchy system in Nepal. Nepali janata ko buddhi.

I read girija has said he has spend lots of money along with her daughter to bring people and accomodate them in kathmandu for andolan. It is indirectly saying he has bribed isnt it. Wont he try to make profit after being PM for all the expenses he made during andolan. After all nobody invests lakhs of money if there is no profit.

Bidhan408, where are you on earth to say that those protestors where paid by Girija? Are you OK? Hundres of Thousands of people have participated in the demonstrations. The protest was not in Kathmandu only. Chitwan, Dang, Surkhet, Nepalgunj, Pokhara everywhere.....the whole nation was in protest. Protests were even in USA, Europe, Australia......Nonsense comment.

i read in rediff. What about my understanding. You yourself said they were from all over nepal. Do you think everybody as has home in kathmandu? Somebody has to accomodate and cater for them. He himself admitted that he and his daughter made lot of expenses in keeping those people.

Its not only girija but i guess all the seven parties. We really have to think , would it have been possible for ordinary nepalese from village to survive in kathmandu during the time of curfew when even a packet of salt costed Rs 50 .How many people could have afforeded that? There is no doubt the parties invested money in protesters. They will try to get every thing back with interest now.
