Hey guys, do you know How long does it take to get approved for EB2 and/or EB3 based immigration for someone already in US ? I have heard that the processing time has been drastically reduced.. what is your opinion or what is the fact ?

Go for EB2, Eb3 will take 5 years to get green card

HOw long EB-2 takes nowadays? What special exercise do the employer has to do for EB-2?

EB2 is current for Nepal, you have to do labor processing as EB2;
Your job requirement should be Bachelors+5yrs experience or masters degree for EB3.

It has been a couple of months in an EB-2 filling; good thing here is you can file all our paper work i.e I-140, I-485 and all. I am not sure about the time frame yet.

EB2 for Nepalese with take 6-12 months. My friend got GC in EB2 in 8 months last month.

Yes, I have heard the same thing. With EB2, you can get your green card in as early as 6 months. And, you get your work permit within 2 months. That's what I understand from a friend who got his this way.

BUT

Make sure you have PhD from a good reputable school in an in-demand subject, preferably hard science such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology, etc. Also, it helps if you have a job offer and a recommendation letter from one of the national labs or relevant government agencies.
