Folks,

I'm going home this winter for the first time in like 3 years...and I plan on doing something that average Nepalese don't ( like trekking, hiking etc. ).

Any suggestions on places to visit, things to do...while in Kathmandu, nearby places or around Nepal?

what's up wid "typical nepali" term? I know you are repeatedly using this term so as to misrepresent Nepal. You got a mindset that "Typical Nepali" people are useless. They like to dig their noses in other's business. No wonder the term "pakhe" originated from people like you.

Not to forget, your parents are "typical nepali" too who were raised in one of those villages with "typical nepali mindset". Its only you who was brought up in cities and never bothered to appreciate and respect so called "Typical Nepali" or even "Pakhes".

"Typical Nepali Mindset" has to do with the cultures that you were raised with. Following a positive aspects of that does not hurt anyone. And, i cannot stand anyone with a degradatory remarks for my fellow citizens.

bidroh serves a huge amount of text

dimag kharab smashes back with a huge amount.

I doubt if anyone else other than you two are reading each other's responses so lets be friends and do some constructive debating :)

For example, lets list the number of places one could possibly go. Ill start.

#1. Gorkha Palace.

haha. Dimag Kharab ko dimag chahin.....

One of my friend's worked as a dishwasher while in college, aba instead of dishwasher, I should've probably called him a dish cleaning engineer haina? hahaha. Bro, you need to hang out with more Americans yaar. Don't get offended and what not but you're so assertive that its unbelievable.

Moving on, Gorkha is one of the places I've considered.
Ilam's chiya bagaan....worth it?

What about Darjeeling and Sikkim? Are they worth visiting?

"One of my friend's worked as a dishwasher while in college, aba instead of dishwasher, I should've probably called him a dish cleaning engineer haina?"
~ You got to ask your friend first, if it would be ok being called a "dishwasher". If he is ok, fine! Go ahead. But, if he does not like being called a "dishwasher", You got no rights to call him a dishwasher. This would be categorized as a "harassment" in a formal setting. I would advise to call him using his name instead. All occupations must be treated with respect. We have plenty of friends here working at a gas stations, restaurants and entry level jobs and you should not be stereotypic them based on their occupation status. Its wrong, unethical and illegal.

" Bro, you need to hang out with more Americans yaar."
~  I cannot hang out with dudes who wake up in the morning in an unfamiliar basement with lip stains all over the body covered in the beer+ sperm fluid mixture. All, i can do is visit my Boss's family, co worker's family, Host family and attend conferences and special gatherings. I know its not called "hanging out" but i have no options.

You should also learn to write a complete sentence. You should write like;

Tara bro ko dimag chahin sachinkai Intelligent cha.

Equivocal words causes double interpretation or doubtful meaning good enough to start an argument.
Its best to avoid those.

On the topic of  Dish washing,
when I was a student long time back I used  to work in a greek restaurant as a waiter and there was an older Nepalidai  who was the dishwasher, one day he told me that when went back to Nepal, his friends and family asked him what did for a living in the US? he used to tell everyone that he was a Machine operator and every one thought great of him. I thought that was funny and real clever at the same time. And while washing dishes he built a huge mansion back in Nepal, couple of rental properties and educated all his children and made his family all set for life. Quite a guy, much respect, he saved every penny and now I think he is back home enjoying life.
