Lack of enterprenualship as well we look for instant gain / quick fix ( I did the same). We feel shame to work hard in our home town / city but we do not hesitate to clean toilet in foreign land. How much money each Indians making in Nepal, they say monies are every where in Nepal. Do we like to adopt new skills?

GVT opened hair cut training program 30 years ago, by now we would have enough barbars in most of the cities and did not needed barbars from India. But we could not welcomed it. Our dignity depends on the type of work we do, so status quo playing a role too.

There are many things to complain / blame about. The gvt system, party system and their leaders. I would like to add that we Nepali ourselves to blame.

think of the public restrooms in the usa for a sec, and then think of the "sarbajanik sounchalaya" in ratna park. I am sure even after years of leaving Nepal you feel like puking thinking about it. if you do things honestly in Nepal you barely survive. there is no infrastructure and the worse part is people are not courteous to each other. just look at sajha how often do we fight.

where as if you do things honestly in foreign land you'll have some money , security etc.. and isn't it productive to work outside the country and send money back home. isn't Nepal run by the money sent by these hard workers? if then, why do we always look at these hard workers like they are fleeing the country , coward etc.. these people are doing something to improve their lives and the others in Nepal by their remmittence. These people deserve respect and support.
