Some of you guys may have heard or read about speed reading. Do you think it works ? Is it possible to really be able to finish a book in a matter of minutes than hours ?

I read article written by Bill Cosby (the comedian) a long time ago that was a guide to speed reading. The main point was to teach yourself to read in groups of words instead of reading each individual word. Using that after some practice I was able to read very fast.

True, what was your speed per minute before used the new technique ? For me, my current speed is about 400 minute per minute, but I would like to bring this to signifacnt speed.

Well I don't know about the word per minute stuff but I can finish 1000 page book in about 5 hours.

I also practiced similar technique. But now i am facing few problems. While giving exam or test, I used to miss some minor details as my brain will try to grasp the summary of complete lines while just looking at that line. ARE you facing similar problems??? Any suggestion.......

News after Harry Potter book vii was out, I think it was 3000 words per minute.
I think it depends upon your reading habbit and your intererest in the book itslef.
