Hi EVERYBODY! I am looking for "sendha noon" or rock salt. This salt is allowed to be eaten during the 13 day period of somebodies death (during noon barne time). If somebody have any infomration about this in US, please reply.

Is it the same salt that comes in rusty brown color. I guess it is called "Bire Noon". Isnt it the one that gives a lot of fart once you have eaten.

No Khaobadi....Bire noon is also called kalo noon and is different from rock salt. Rock salt is used to melt snow in cold places, but I am looking for edible raoc salt. Damn....now I miss my ason chowk

jivan_yatri ji! Sendha Namak you can find in local india stores. Rock salt is available at most supermarkets.
