Does it in any way affect the kids born to a Nepali mom and a bideshi Dad? I don't think so but just checking.

I really wonder if the kids of Nepali mom and bideshi dad can get citizenship becasue i need to know about it. If anyone know about it please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The answer is NO. Nepali constitution does not allow citizenship to the child of foreign dad because the constitution hasn't yet approved confering citizenship based on mother's nationality. The current verdict applies to the child whose mother is Nepali but father is still unknown. Once the father of the child is known it affects the citizenship of the child. My idea if the dad is Nepali - the child remains Nepali citizen, and, if the dad is foreign, the child is striped of his/her citizenship (we will have to see how practical it is). I guess this is the summary of the verdict.

As long as the child is born in Nepali territory, s/he should get citizenship. It does not matter whether the parents are Nepalese or not. s/he will get 'angikrit nagarikta' and not the 'bansaj' type. It is same as the anchor babies born in the usa.

Just curious... a Father could be anybody...aside from DNA test. However, a mother has to be the one who concieved the baby....Why can't a child born to a Nepali mother get citizenship..?? Is being a mother somehow less pertinent than being a father??

Nepali constitution hasn't yet allowed citizenship based on mother's nationality, or by the birth in nepal . so it does not allow citizenship to the child of foreign dad .Beside that government has change and make little flexible in the rules for NRA.

Nepal government and RCCA must hunt Nepali criminals in every Central District Offices CDO those who gave Nepali Citizenship to Indian people.

I just can not amazing Nepal in next generation. India does not have to send Indian army to invasion to Nepal. Nepal will be India by giving Nepali citizenships to Indian People. A country Switzerland will not give citizenship if you consider immigrant or brith by immigrant family. It is not easy to get citizenship.

Citizenship is the most sesative things, Once you give citizenship that means you allow and give full rights to enter inside in your home. If person is good, he or she "MAY" help you.
