Could you please help me finding a college who gives CPT right away. My OPT is expiring soon and I'm stuck with the desi consultancy in search of my H1.

Goldey Beacon college is a good option. It's a little expensive and they require you to travel quite frequently but since you live in VIrginia, its a better bet. I do know few others where my friends go to but I highly do not recommend them. Just my personal opinion.

If you have a received notice for H-1B before your OPT expires you can work until you get decision from USCIS.

mero ni case same cha. I have applied for H1B this year. 1st April ma apply garyo but my EAD expires on 23th April. So i was searching for CPT college but my Lawyer told me that Uscis le application file gare pachi euta letter dincha re , which we take to college and can extend my OPT. so, i don"t have to join University. Yesto case lai Cap Gap bhancha re.
Mero doc. send bhayo but UScis bata letter ako chaina. K huncha thaha chaina.
Yesto situation ma hune sathi haru, aru option cha bhane Plz share garu !!!

don't panic sathi......ahile nai college khoji saknue parya chaina....
teyo USCIS le dine letter li 'received notice' vhancha which is simply saying that USCIS received your application...and all that you need.........
depending upon no of applicants, your might receive notice early or late..
lets say quota 1st week ma vhariyana then USCIS will start sending those receive notice.
If they received too many applications then they will stop accepting more and then they will go into lottery system. if you get selected in lottery system, then you will receive notice letter.
If you by any chance didn't get selected then kurai sakiyo ....start looking for college to go into F-1.
I don't know if rule is same - but you have 60 days from date of OPT expire to get a new i-20, and another 3 months before start of your class. OPT sakinne bitikai college join garnue prdai na...60 days ma i-20 issue gare huncha...and class chahi 5 montsh vhitra start vhako hunue parcha...

by the way, one way to know if your application was received by USCIS is to check for check that was send with your application. Aba lawyer ko company firm ko check ho vhane ask them to check for you. USCIS will not cash/deposit check unless they accept your application in which case u will receive notice letter.
I dont know if there is a way to look for money order...
