A new international airlines started by the NRN's was launched yesterday. The chief minister was the Prime Minister, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, the brand ambassador was Miss Nepal '12, Shristi Shrestha and Ani Choyang.

The owner of BB Airlines is Bhawan Bhatta, so i'm guessing it's  that! And the full form of NRN is Non-Residential Nepalese. The NRN's have started this airlines. :)

That is a good news.  

Getting seats in the last leg of the journey when flying to Nepal has always been relatively more difficult.  Having more options like this will be good for all.  I just hope their planes are well maintained and run, unlike the domestic ones.

BB Airlines means "Bhagwan Buddha Airlines"

It'll fly to Singapore, Sydney, Qatar and few other destinations.

Although it is a good sign of progress, due to lack of good record, history of rampant corruption existing in the periphery of the Nepal government and the institutions under it, which could very well seep into the day to day functions of this airlines, I am pretty sure if not 100% sure that everything the airlines will care about is the bottom line and therefore I am not too hopeful that it will rise above the other national airlines which look like bikram tempos compared to the international standards required for airlines.

 I am not too worried about corruption as this is a private company, not a public one which takes up national resources.  However, the regulations have to be proper to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.  Ki kaso?

 I can only wish that the new airline company has bought new airplanes, but I'm very doubtful.
