Can any body update the statu of telephone/internet communication to nepal?

I like all moves of King but he should restore these back soon.

If he doesn't restore medium of communication soon, people will loose faith that they gained from his move.

Still no go!!!........ Someone posted that comm. line might be available betwen 10:00 p.m. to 110:30 or so ( nepali time), but it is not the case!!

If this Ah_ole had a good intention, he would have done it differently long back - it's not something new. He knew it from get go. I find him corrupt and autocratic - like father like son ( mahendra in 60's).............May be he is so pissed that one local newspaper once reported that ( a month a go) his wife was furious at him when she caught him red handed with one of a palace employee.. ;)......Or may be it is it is hard to give up POWER once you have tasted it. Hence, I do not believe he is doing it for the people...he was never a people's king and he never will be. If so why would he raise place expense from 10 core to 40 core in his first year.. He, including most politicains are corrupt.

fyi.................PPL at Nepal Embassy in D.C. said that there is a rumor that the situation ( comm line) may remain the same for next couple of days!!...so let's keep trying!!

Someone in another thread wrote that there will be no electronic media for 6 months in Nepal and that includes Phone too...........

Nepal is heading toward STONE AGE.......

I am watching South Asia News about nepal, they said it might take a while may be months they are not sure..... we all are concerned about the present situation about Nepal.

How true is this news about 6 months no communication between Nepal and outside workd?
If this is true then King really need to think twice. I have never seen such leader who would do good thing to the country without communication.
People in nepal must be having different kind of prolems, some one might be sick, some one might have some other kind of emergency. Theft, and loots are highly possible because there is no chance of informing the police in this case. And I can go on and on about possible mishaps.
So lets hope at least for communication (internet/phone). Rest he can handle in his way coz no other leaders have strength to handle nepal.

My feeling is that they are working on cutting off phone lines to the houses of political leaders. Most of the student leaders will be put into jail. Then they will start the phone line maybe in phases, but the mobile might take longer unless they find a better way to track who is calling who. They will probably be eavesdropping on the phone lines even when its enabled.
