Dear colleagues in Ameriacas,
Since King has imposed emergency and the protest is unlikely to happen even in future, we need to send signals to the King that we love democracy more than you. Therefore, I would like to ask your solidarity for DEMOCRACY IN NEPAL and protest against the King in the event of ANA Convention 2005 which is not that far down the road.

Those of you, if you have anything already in mind in terms of getting organized for protest please let us know.

this protest thing is a freaking lame idea, why would the King care what happens here in ANA convention, and its obvious people are divided over this issue, some support the move some don't, this protest is not going to get anything done, freaking waste of time, as if the condemnation from all around the world was not enough for the King to get affected by this ANA protest.............stupid.

I support the idea of organizing some protest movement in support of democracy. I think we need act quickly and not wait until the ANA.

We things that can be done:
1) Condemn the royal coup and express solidarity for democracy by protesting at the Royal Nepal Embassy in DC .
2) Create public pressure to the Bush administration not to support the King and cut of military aid to the royal army.

We can US senators and Congress ment to support democracy in Nepal. It can effectively done with the help of American citizen, who care for Nepal, Nepelase people and democracy in Nepal, asking them to write to their respective congressmen or senators.

Interesting post Mr. Unknown. I like your sense of humor. At least better than all the rants about setting up an uproar about democracy loving chants. To all those who are raving about how the politicians should be re-instated and the kingship irradicated in this 21st century. I ask them, what have you done for the country??? except criticising the situation?? There were problems with the political system in the country, there always will be....there is even in the US...but still there are people who worked hard to get nepal out of the ditch. .tried at least)

Getting out on the streets, bringing out processions, and chanting slogans isnt the right way to democracy. If you want a system that would work in our country, then go do something in Nepal, open a factory, be an artist, teach young children in some remote school...there are still people doing these works in nepal, despite the political turmoil. If every one of those protesters on the street, instead of taking violence, get into something productive, we could definately achieve the so called miracle, which we all are dreaming about our country. No god is gonna come down and sprinkle down his bardan..and make this miracle happen....we have to work on making this happen. It might take ages, but yes, thats the right way to do it. And only then, will there be a successful democratic system.

Is this guy who posted for call for signal to King is one of the corrupt leader himself or his duplicate. If not then must be relatives of any of the corrupt leader of Nepal. It is natural that now corrupt leaders are scared of getting into jail for their corruption. We all know most of these leaders have sent their son/daughter and other relatives to US, Canada, Australia and Europe and has also deposited a huge amount of money in the banks. Some of them have also invested in business in these countries. If one analysse the background of these leaders then can easily understand whether Sujata would be able to buy an apartment in expensive place of Washington for her daughter and Govinda Raj joshi could buy petrol pump. Likewise, we learned some time back several hundred thousand doller sent to depot in US bank within a month by Makune through a Gurung Hundi dealer and by Gachhedar in Australian. These people, their relatives and Chamchas will now try to use all available means to misguide people within Nepal as well as outside Nepal, so that they could create obstacle in the process of action against corruption and get back to power. King alone could not dare to take such big step but was supported by people. People were tired of these Ghusyaha netas and were looking for some action. From the differnt forum, there was voice for action against these corrupt leader and to rescue country. This was also clearly seen when people did not support so called andolan from last 2 years by these corrupt. Remember earlier when there was peoples' support in 2036 and also in 2046 King had to grand their demand but this so called andolan in a complete failure due to lack of peoples' support. Only Chamche could seen in their demonstration. You could also see peoples' reaction on the present move of the King which also clearly that people do not support corrupt but have hope on King. Those Ghusyaha Netas relatives and chamchas could be seen trying to use this Shajha.com and other media to spread conspiracy and misguide people. Every one should evaluate the past 14 years and make their conclution. We need to be careful from these people.
