I didnt go to a lotta events coz i am a normal broke nepalu student...but of the ones I did go..

the mega rock night where there were 25 ppl in the audience..

the expectations of SMS ruined and from SMS also ruined...played two songs n that was it..only one row of ppl!!

dj night reminded me of our nepali parties in irving 5 yrs ago...

the cricket tournament I took part in had only ONE official and not even a drop of water... in this texas sun!! The LEG umpire and the SCORER were both from batting side!!

the food stall was in a place where no one would look.. I dis find it the last night tho..

same hall for each n every event n ppl had to pay go in...come out.. Pay again go in..come out and pay again go in.............
The best thing about the whole ANA was the overcrowded bar where ppl had to wait half an hour to get a drink... and still ppl were actually doing it instead of going inside where the events were happening!

n ohh yes manoj gajurel was amazing as always..

I ll get back with detail review later :p

Fu<king same songs over and over nite after nite and people were still dancing... DJ MastaP sucks a$$. Are you kidding me... Worse DJ ever... Is there a lack of Nepali DJ in Dallas Texas... I think the organizers just didn't invite or gave chance to emerging talents...

Jahtha Masta P.... Jula tero DJ skills.

If you have joined with high expectations your review will negative. You know it is worst all the time but just joined to meet friends, then your review may be neutral?

Prior to my departure, I'd thought fist-fights and drivels would overshadow the event but I must say, I totally enjoyed it.

Soccer tournament was great. My team lost in the semis. The organizers were slacking big time but I figured it wasn't indifferent as Nepali event organizers are usually lousy.

Dallas Gurkhas were backed by a bunch of corrupt officials. LA deserved to be in the final but had a goal disallowed. They totally outplayed Gurkhas and were unlucky to concede the second after Gurkhas were awarded a corner that the goalie didn't even touch.

Baltimore deservedly won it but I just don't think it's fair for former professional footballers to be allowed in such competitions. There are a ton of great amateur soccer players across the US who work their ass off for 3-4 months, only to see their efforts going down the drain while up against teams that have a number of former National players.

DJ nights sucked big time. The DJ had a pathetic music choice and more importantly, nobody in Dallas seemed to care about ANA. The crowd was sparse. The bar was slammed and the bartenders had this ridiculous rule that allowed a buyer to buy drinks for those who were accompanying the buyer!

The venue was pretty cool. The patio was awesome. I don't think ANA was that bad but nothing to rave about. Also, I was a tad amused by skanky outfits and the sights of this chick wearing white outfit like a stripper (does that ring anyone's bell?). What's shocking was the fact that she was hot! But what gives. She was totally making out w/ this guy. It's her choice.

My trip was fantastic though. Meeting up w/ friends and some interesting people was fun. Shame I can't share my personal stories.

And 28th Amendment just didn't have any balls to show up! You better not bother talking to me, ever again!

The best thing to do for next ANA team would be

List all the DJs of that state whoever wants to perform in ANA in facebook with their achievements or whatever and whoever get the most likes will get the contract to perform.

If time permits, the same thing should be done for the organizing team of next ANA. Whoever wants to be in the ANA organizing team should send them how, why what etc can they help ANA. what qualities they have to make next ANA go with less mistakes.
Priorities given to young generation.

to me ana is always a lot of fun.  Organizing events leaves a lot to be desired.  this is a huge undertaking to say the least  there are always a few hot chicks with skanky outfits.  even at summerfest there was this shortie hot and was totally having all the guys buy her cranberry vodka...got loaded on some guys expenses and partied with us LOL... lotsa ana stories to share

ANA is turned into a crzy hook up event.....so much liquor and testosterone..don't expect any less.

OH btw the organizer goes home with a killing

Riddle Dai: I was in the football field for a brief minute. I saw you face ( and your belly), laughed my ass off and left. However I saw you( even took a picture) with bunch of other uncivilized
jerk offs Infront of the bar. You were just not worth it.

ANA Press release…..30th ANA-Texas Convention-2012 scan/Significant accomplishments.

ANA Press release…. 30th ANA-Texas Convention-2012 scan.

President Barak Obama of the United States of America, sent greetings to the 30th Annual Convention of the Association of Nepalis In the Americas. Official proclamation is made by State of Texas, County of Dallas issued by executive order of The Dallas County Judge Clay Lewis Jenkins, Dallas County Judge.

Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, the honorable Ambassador of Nepal send massage wishing all successes of the 30th convention of ANA and express hearty congratulations and greetings to all people of Nepali origin in the United States. Honorable ambassador Dr. Sharma & honorable Deputy Ambassador Mr. Arjunkant Mainali both attended the Convention. Dr. Hari Sharma founding President of ANA & Mrs. Sharma sends their good luck wish massage to the 30th ANA convention. Mr. Simon Dungana, former president of ANA & NRNA (Nonresident Nepali Association) officials was kind to accept ANA invitation & attended the 30th ANA convention. Dignitaries of FIPNA, ANTA, GNW, ANWA, BANA, RMFN, NANC, NAGC, SNAC and many other important local and regional associations representing Nepal’s and Nepali’s affairs were in presence, while USNEPALONLINE, NTV, Sagarmatha TV, Bishwa Parikrama and several other media partners were covering the event, unconditionally.

Significant accomplishments of 30th ANA-Texas Convention-2012; Among many other important achievements, following were some of the few significant accomplishments.

The culture of free loaders in ANA Convention is brought to the end, and the result is a financially rewarding 30th ANA-Texas Convention-2012. (P&L report will be made public shortly on convention’s official website).

Bhashan Neta (Talker Nepali politicians) and Bhashan Saamajik Sangstha Kurshi-adhikari (Talker Nepali Community organization Chair-holders) are discouraged to attend ANA conventions in the future.      (hahahahaha) he got  guts to say.

True community service minded, dedicated, concerned and creative volunteers are mobilized to drive ANA to fulfill its mission to serve Nepal and Nepali affairs from the grass-root. Thus, the 1st ANA Texas Chapter is proclaimed.

Youth ANA membership and ANA lifetime membership drives through convention registration is encouraged to mobilize ANA to serve the greater interest of today’s youth and future generations. (30th ANA-Texas convention membership and life-member list shall be made public shortly on ANA official website).

Greater support for ANA sports and ANA sport fans is introduced by rewarding with elevated ANA-Awards. ANA Nepali Kids Super Nova Talent program, ANA Nepali Children Spelling B Contest program to name few has been established to cultivate greater support for Nepali children, youth and new talents.

ANA HERO HONOR, a sensible, truly justifiable and meaningful ANA Honor program was introduced. Mr. Arjun Mainali of NY and a DC based human right law firm were honored as ANA HERO-2012, while Dr. Dina Bangdale was honored with the ANA LIFETIME HERO Honor. These honoraries were honored for their social works unmatched by anyone in the respective field.

Nepalis Rs. 1,00000.00 (Ek Laakh) raised as individual contribution to support ANA Nepal School Program. Several contribution $$$ commitments were received for ANA Emergency Fund Program. And the most significant achievement noted may be that NRNA Founding President, one of the wealthiest Nepali on planet and a truly a doer Social Leader of our time, Dr. Upendra Mahato made an official commitment publicly to contribute US$ 1,000000.00 (One Million US Dollars) to ANA Nepal Rural Development Project led by ANA officer Dr. Sudeep Shrestha.

Thus, 30th ANA-Texas Convention – 2012 was outstandingly a meaningful experience and qualitatively a productive grand-event. ANA now has an outstanding model to follow next year, and years after that. A new standard for ANA Convention planners has been set. Next year’s organizers (NY) will have their hands full trying to equal the quality of this year’s event. However, we are confident that with proven record of Mr. Samir Maharjan the ANA-NY Convention-2013 Chief Coordinator and CEO of Queen’s Diamond & Jewelry; you would not want to miss the 31st ANA-NY Convention-2013, IN NY STYLE with TEXAS PASSION under the guidance of 2013 Convention Chairman Pasang Lama.

Thank you all
Tsewang Sherpalama, President
& few dedicated executive team members
