Does anyone know how long it takes to get the interview schedule letter once the status is "FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling".
Thanks

It all depends on your service center and local office you filed. For example, if your filing in Dallas service center and your local office is in Rhode Island, it will only take a week for USCIS to schedule a date and time for your interview. Had you filed the same from NY, It would take almost 2 months to schedule for your interview. In my case It took exactly 40 days after the day i was placed in line for interview to the day i was schedule for interview in Houston. So the bottom line is, it all depends where your local office is and how many filers are ahead of you. good luck.

My biometrics was on Nov10th and placed me in interview line on Nov 28th. I am just waiting to be scheduled. I am in Northern Virginia area (DC Metro).

Lets just pre assume: Given that you had your bio-done on nov 10th, you must had filed sometime on mid October and your priority date must be somewhere between that time line. USCIS is currently processing the cases from September for Virginia / DC field office. As far as your concern goes, your on the right track and no need to be worried about. If the trend holds true in your case, you should receive your interview letter within 3 weeks.

Thank you Houston_kancho.
My 5 year completion is in January 26, 2012. I submitted 90-day early application. This may also put the interview in line for longer period of time.

Houston_kancho Bro,
I still have not received my interview letter yet. I received yellow letter two weeks ago though. It is kind of odd. What do you think?

It seems like the interview scheduling in Fairfax, VA is extremely slow. Is anyone going through this stage currently?

I just had N-400 interview last Wednesday at Fairfax, VA. They did not schedule my oath on the same day. They asked me to come back this coming Monday for oath. Is this a trend now in Fairfax, VA?

Similar Situation, I think its happenign recently in Fairfax VA, one of my Dai also went for interview, He passed everything. He thought oath will be same day too. But he was given one white sheet of paper, that indicates, congratulation you are eligible for Citizenship bla blah.......he has to wait another letter at maill to get to know when and where oath will be taken. That means another three weeks......Its so wiered.
