Saam,
If i am not wrong, But Nepalese government recently passed a law by which people can still own a property in nepal and do business. It is a kind of like dual citizenship but You are basically restricted for government job and voting only. Correct me If I am wrong

If you are talking from a legal prospective, Nepal does not have dual citizen provision. But you can have NRN card. This will allow you to own property and do business in nepal even if you were a foreign citizen. This is a pretty recent push. I am not sure if it is a law yet.

Thanks for the responses. As per NRN Regulations 2066, NRNs who have NRN ID can buy and possess property up to the allowed area, after they've become foreign citizens. But the regulation does not cover the properties that NRN had before as a Nepali citizen (NRN Regulations 2066 Item # 11 (2) – you can get a copy from the Nepalese Embassy website www.nepalembassyusa.org). I am not sure about the new law.
