Truly mesmerizing. And yes, I agree. One of the most beautiful Nepali women.

The question is, does she have brain to comine with her grace? Is she down to Earth? I feel like writing a poem right now.

Have you guys ever wonder why only people from certain castes win these beauty pagents? At least, this one has good looks, have you seen the current Miss Nepal 2011? Omg!

I get what you're saying, Violet. Like I said in some different thread, Sajana reminds me of Jharana Bajracharya and my lord, wasn't Jharana quite a beauty! I wonder if they're related.

I've seen a number of Giri girls who are drop down gorgeous but then again, I've seen plenty of Ranas, Shahs, Karkis, Shresthas, Maharjans and Gurungsenis who are pretty too.

But all jokes aside, girls belonging to Newa.r community are well represented and its a little surprise that most of the women from Ne.war community end up winning these pageants. Payal Shakya was a cutie too.

Just checked her wikipedia page. If she went to St. Mary's then she must be quite talented, too (not streotyping but from my personal experience, girls who attend Rato Bangala, St. Mary's and Budhanilkantha are quite talented).

While I found the first picture in her bathing suit incredibly beautiful, the one below with the same outfit equally provocative. But maybe the latter wasn't a rehearsed photoshoot or shot by a good camera - hence different.

I have to agree and disagree with Footyfan here. Although he raised a good question if her intelligence complemented her beauty, I am not sure if someone could be deemed intelligent based on the mere category of her schooling. Wouldn't someone who attended Siddhartha Vanasthali equally capable of being as intelligent? My cousin who went to St. Mary's flunked physics twice and still doesn't know who Martin Luther King is. But then again, it might be my personal opinion.

Also, while I empathize with violet's remarks, (kindly correct me here) I am struggling to understand what 'a certain caste' and  'at least  this one has good looks' means. I am inclined to believe she is referring to many a few models in cybersansar.com who become models just for the heck of it - completely oblivious about the exploitation by the photographers and ignorant about the criticism.

My apologies if my point of view differs from you guys', just wanted to put forth an honest critique.

But yes, if she falls flat like Miss teen USA South Carolina when asked a question, and bases her smartness on anaccented American, I do not think she is worth a vote.

Well I wasn't trying to imply that all students who've attended St. Mary's, St. Xaviers, Birendra Sainik, Budhanilkantha, RBS are super talented but I was getting more into the fact that these are elite schools where any 'ordinary' student can't get in with ease.

Sumnima Singh was a supertalented product of SBS but at the same time, there were 100 mediocre students who went to Banasthali with her.

My intent was more or less similar to one saying he has a high respect for anybody who attends Harvard, Yale or Stanford. Not everybody who manages to attend those schools is super talented but at the same time, chances are, an average Harvard student is definitely more talented (dare I say smarter?) than anybody who attends an average school.

That said, there's a difference between getting into Harvard or St. Mary's. My cousin sister also went to St. Mary's and she failed twice before transfering to another school but even then, I reckon a majority of them are at least talented.

Coming back to the point though, the girl seems to portray herself as a true example of "beauty with brain". Based on my own assumptions, I don't think Payal was the same (I grew up in the same neighborhood that she did).
