The admin of one of the most popular nepali blogs mysansar.com has released a statement accepting the existence of malware in their website. The admin does not reveal what type of malware it is and what potential it has to compromise the viewers' computers.
Thesedays there are many malicious malware that gets hacked into popular websites so that all of the site viewers can be infected. The effect of the malware ranges from simple cookie manupulation to dormant hacker apps that run in visitors' computer to let the hacker use these machines for DDOS attacks and or to steal personal information.
Popular sites have to take precautions to prevent their visitors from being infected with malware and viruses. If you have visited the site recently be sure to download Microsoft Security Essentials or Malwarebytes and run a check to see your computer has not been infected.
I have received several emails regarding unusual redirect to other websites when visiting Mysansar. I will be running security updates on the server today. The website might not be available at times.
