Hi there!
I came to this country on B1/B2 tourist visa. Then I decided to study applied for F1 visa. My visa is expiring very soon. Do I need to go back to my country and come back or should I stay until I get a reply from the Immigration.I have a 5 year multiple tourist visa and I do not want to stay illegal
could anyone advise me?

Do you still have a valid I-20? You can stay as longas your I-20 allows, even if your visa is expiring. Talk to your foreign student advisor just in case.

sounds like he's talking about expiration of his tourist visa and waiting for his student status. In that case , consult an immigration lawer.
