how correct was I... - Nepal is witnessing major Capital-Flight, losing around 200+ crore a day - NEPSE - Stocke Exchange index's down almost 27% (loss of Rs 900 crore "US$ 140 Million", that is equal to total Garments + Carpet exports annually; or total of One months of Overseas remittance to Nepal) with-in 1st hour of opening market after election, exchange was shut-down in response and still is closed. - Inflation is already such an issue in KTM. - Next, in line are Currency devaluation.. and ruin of Nepal or becoming Somalia. However currently reading the way Maoists are talking, they've become bit soft and I hope they remain so in policy road map and implementation too. My biggest worry is that Internal Fight among themselves "Hardliners and YCL, PLA stuff" might spill-it out, resulting in Somalia style governance.

how can someone say that nepal will turn into somalia after the maoist will take over...can someone show me a single country run by people will comunist policy and is like somalia...there are many country run by congress and is like somalia....economy is going down coz all the concentrations are going to elections...lets wait for the agenda......lets all the policies to be implented...as for maoist planning....growing business are always supported by communist...the only thing u should be scared is if u r a son of someone who owns a lot of property and u r trying to use that property than wait and see how much tax u r going to pay for that business..nepal is going to be a good place to live...and watch the number of people going out of country...its going to be slow down....and we can proudly says that i m made for nepal.....

I heard some promissing statements from the winning party in nepal. only option left to the people in nepal is wait and see. It is true that under communism, economy of the country doesnt go that bad..... but there is no chance of prosperity too. communism gives more priority to miletary action than in global trade and other economical growth. there will be very low export business and same will be the import. we have one of the worst technology in the world so what is the result???? back to halo and kodalo...no tractor , no modern mechanism,,, same old traditional agricultural system. whole product of the country cant feed 2.5 crore nepali people any more.
so we have to depend on other country. once india stops supporting the economy of nepal, value of our currency would go even worst and worst. all the foreign exchange in nepal is controlled by indian currency.
Nepali Rupees 100 = Indian Rupees160 this is same for years and years,,,why?
Is the economical condition of Nepal and india is same no way.

Rocker, you are missing the point. If you spend some time to review last 30 yr history of Communist countries, you will be glad to know that they (the Commie Party) loosened their ends a bit to allow inbound flow of capital. It is this inbound capital (not donations or maitri sahayog), my friend, that drives a country's economy and development, not just sheer hard work and determination of people. It's not politics, it the economics that is important.

Previous government donated more than half of our electricity to india and left our kathmandu in dark almost five days a week. we still have lots of resources for electricity. We can make it happen.
if we can get 30 % electricity of our total capacity, we dont even need the petrol from india. and we can export it too..... but not like what they did with the mahakali project.

How clever of investor you are. People are investing in somalia and earning something out there too. You can't expect to live in US and pour money in Nepal. But you may of course be a dedicated businessman and do a pretty good business in any of the sectors in Nepal and earn quite a bit. You need to be clever and competant.
I guess its the case everywhere.
Good Luck

Next big business in Nepal: Julus materials. With the CA meetings, there is bound to be plenty of julus and danga fasad. If you can provide logistic support (including itta, daaura, and lot of ppl), you could make good money.
Nepal LogistiX
We provide full services for promotion of your agenda: - itta, daaura, tyres, pamphlets, bhitte-lekhan, abir, banners, mike, low-paid people, celebreties, speakers, etc.
All paid by foriegn forces (identify and promote US interests, they pay well). Nepali parties dont pay.
Hope this helps.

The only way to be positive that a certain region or country is safe to invest in is by going there and investigating local communities for yourself. I can personally guarantee that there are opportunities just waiting to be seized. All it takes is some homework on your part and some dedication to finding your particular market niche.
