वयक्तिगत स्वार्थ बाट माथि उठौं । सकिन्छ , चित्त बुझ्छ सहयोग गर । सकिंदैन ??
WTF? The only personal agenda here is from dhurmus and suntali.
It is them who haven't laid out the detailed financial structure for future other than investment.
The only thing they said was, this is non profit organization and the cricket stadium will be run by dhurmus-suntali foundation... Which is a JOKE?
A stadium made by donations which is then owned by Dhurmus-Suntali?
Why do they want to build the stadium? You think a non profit organization should collect donations to build a structure which is very profitable without any information of who will be pro-fitted? This act itself is unethical and very shady.
If the stadium is to be built by people's money, then let it be private and distribute shares,
but do not try to rob people to fulfill your own personal agenda.
There are various developmental projects they can focus on , like building roads, bridges, schools, etc..But to come up with this big project by hiding their greed in the name of National Pride, is very shameful.
How many times have we been fooled?
And how many more it will take for us to realize ??

३ करोड को फिल्म बनाउनु भन्दा ३ अर्बको रंगशाला बनाउँदा फाइदा हुने भएर हो !!

I think stadium is a challenge because of the following facts:

१) Dhurmus and Suntali have stopped their main job – to make people laugh. They have stopped appearing in TV and films and they have made “social work” their main job. This, I guess, wasn’t what people have wanted and they have started questioning their motives.
When it was for some poor people, people were willing to set aside a little fund. But, when it is about a stadium – that no poor person will use, people will be skeptical in donating their hard earned money. There is not incentive of feeling happy on helping some poor and disadvantaged group of people.

२) In smaller projects – the help was tangible. They could seen the progress of something being built. But, in a large project – it takes a longer time. Dhurmus-Suntali have anticipated it to be completed in 2 years (that is a long time). In most of that time, the building won’t even start – or even it starts – progress will not be visible.

३) 3 Arab is a large sum of money. When Dhurmus and Suntali started their work in Giranchowk, they were the only people asking for donation. Now, a lot of others are doing the same. For example, Shree – Shweta foundation is building Majhi Basti (she has complained that there is not enough funding). Rabi Lamichhane Foundation is building a hospital in Raskot. Priyanka Karki has started her own foundation – Ayanka Foundation and there are a lot of other organizations. They will all be going to the same people to ask for money. Can they afford to donate all of them? I doubt.

४) People have started questioning the integrity – specially when they don’t have any apparent sources of income. For example, Mukunda Ghimire, has created the following photo of Kunjana Ghimire, Suntali. .. https://twitter.com/Mukunda_dai/status/1093373517670817793

Tea_talk, you have valid point. But, as you mentioned, majority of folks are driven by emotional judgements, rather than the factual analysis. This is big project, and should be clearly defined it's ownership modality first. Who owns the future revenue and does the maintenance? What's the role of donors?

There is donation requsts f rom bunch of folks in nepal these days.., by major social workers, individual crisis-stricken people etc.

If major projects should be driven by Charities, why should one also pay the taxes to Nepal govt ?

I appreciate all the past activities by dhurmus-suntali, but not much with this stadium and "namuna nepal" project. On later, we don't need to create artificial recreation center (aimed at tourists) when there there exists wonderful natural destination.

Just my two cents..
