During the election they will handle you two voting papers one for direct vote another for PR.on direct vote paper you will vote for the candidate which you like.On PR voting paper you will vote for party.In some case people might like congress candidate but partywise the might like UMl so on direct paper they vote on tree and PR they will vote on sun.

In PR vote, how do they select candidates? For example, if cow symbol get 70,000 votes how do they decide which candidates and how many to go the assembly?

Power Ranger, they will first allocate number of seats using Sainte-Laguë method and each party can pick their representatives from the list they have submitted to the election commission. I believe they should not have to pick top n ( n being number of seats they are allocated form Sainte Lague formula). If you are interested, you can roughly check number of PR seats using this calculator (which only uses 7 parties) !!
