This story has been shared by Nepalis in social networks and it does look appealing but when you think about it for a minute about all the Nepalis who go abroad everyday in search of a better life, it loses its charm.

Thousands of Nepalis quit everything in Nepal and go to other countries every day and their lives are better comparatively because of that, than it would be if they chose to stay in Nepal.

There needs to be a good balance between materialistic and spiritual and the author seemed to find the good spiritual balance she needed by coming to Nepal because she does not have much opportunity of getting a good dose of spirituality in the US.

Same way, the Nepalis who leave the country are seeking for the dose of materialistic satisfaction to fulfil their need of the materialistic world. In Nepal they can get an overload of spiritualistic life but it's lacking opportunities of materialistic gains.
